Letter From the Editor

We’ve heard your input—from the numerous letters to the editors we have received to those who sat silently and devoured The Sandpiper’s last issue—and for November, we’ve decided to put together a beautiful array of topics, a harmonious blend of different issues to interest you.

The hard-working journalists at The Sandpiper headquarters have been slaving away, typing relentlessly at keyboards, frantically searching for cream-of-the-crop stories and asking those tough questions, such as “What is up with the bathrooms?”

As you may know, the presidential elections are set to take the stage, and we think it important that you know just what is going on with the election, and we’ve hit it from all angles with an opinion piece about the presidential debates, an overview of controversial topics like gay marriage and the death penalty and even an article about how this election will affect education.

Of course, if you’re like my mother and think all politicians are scum, you can always turn to the sports page, spanning all across the athletic board; the entertainment page, which varies from reviews to local talent; or even some of the news articles about what is happening at CHS, like SMART board use or that perplexing patriotic tune before the daily bulletin.

From politics to music to the life of Carmel cops, we’ve got it all, and you’re bound to find something that tickles your fancy. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

And if you find something that sparks an epiphany within you, or even if it sparks an overwhelming feeling of hostility, feel free to let us know, either by shooting an email to sandpiper@carmelunified.org or by checking out our newly-updated website at TheSandpiper.org. We hope to hear from you soon!
